At six months of age Maverick was on a walk with his human grandmother when two dogs viciously attacked both of them in the park. A good Samaritan had to use a fence post, he ripped out of the ground, to get the dogs off of Maverick and he grandmother. They were both pretty bitten up, and traumatized. Today, thanks to the Lexie Fund, Maverick is a happy well-adjusted gentle 6-year-old Pitbull. His grandmother still takes him on walks and they emphasize training and control to al dog owners.
